Korea Life Vietnam officially launched the Day of Love program

In response to the “Month for Children 2009” campaign whose theme is “Combined effort for poor children” initiated by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Korea Life officially launched the “Korea Life’s Day of Love” program at Hospital of Pediatrics No. 2 on June 5th and at the National Hospital of Pediatrics on June 10th, 2009.

This program will last from June to December 2009 with total sponsorship worth more than VND 600 million. As part of this program, Korea Life will provide 1,600 free meals per month, including 1,000 meals for Hospital of Pediatrics No. 2, and 600 meals for the National Hospital of Pediatrics via their Social Affairs Teams. In addition, Korea Life’s staff and agents will give 4,800 special meals and food containers to poor patients during volunteer programs. Besides, Korea Life will provide some financial support for especially poor patients as per the hospitals’ recommendations.

Approximately, 150 Korea Life’s staff and agents will take part in each volunteer charity activity. Korea Life also placed stone benches within the hospitals so that patients and their relatives have so rest areas, and gave outdoor toys to the National Hospital of Pediatrics and food delivery tables to the charity food shop at Hospital of Pediatrics No. 2.
