Date: 2009-09-16 16:44:34

In response to the “Red Blood” campaign in 2009 launched by the Vietnam Red Cross, Korea Life Insurance Vietnam collaborated with the HCMC Humanitarian Blood Donation Centre and the National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion to organize the Voluntary Blood Donation Day at Korea Life’s offices in HCMC on July 27 and in Hanoi on July 29, 2009.

Mr Francis Jung Seop Hyun, General Director of Korea Life Insurance Vietnam said: “Continuing the humanitarian tradition of Korea Life Group, we decided to give a considerable amount of our operating budgets in 2009 for charity programmes in Vietnam to show our responsibility to the community and the society. In the first six months, we carried out a charity program called “Korea Life – Day of Love” at the Central Pediatrics Hospital 2 (HCMC) and the Central Pediatrics’ Hospital (Hanoi) to aid poor ill children. We send 150 volunteers and the spend VND600 million on this programme. We are very glad to see nearly 500 employees and agents register to join the Korea Life Blood Donation Day 2009. The humanity of Korea Life’s volunteers will not only help reduce the serious shortage of blood in HCMC and Hanoi but also create a momentum to build Korea Life in to a leading responsible life insurance company”.
